We've got three announcements for you.

First, we have started to compile a list of minority PhD students who are
interested in professional opportunities beginning Fall 2009.  You can

Second, we encourage you to read the very interesting profile of Larry
Chavis, Assistant Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the
Kenan-Flager Business School at the University of North Carolina at

Third, the deadline for the CSWEP/CSMGEP Summer Economics Fellows program
is February 13.  The program is designed to  increase the participation and
advancement of women and underrepresented minorities in economics.  The
fellowship allows the fellow to spend a summer in residence at a sponsoring
research institution such as a Federal Reserve Bank or other public agency.
