Hi,
It has come to my attention that some of you are unaware of “Random Ordering”. Below is a link to the AEA website which explains what it is.
https://www.aeaweb.org/journals/policies/random-author-order
The authors can use a tool on our website that randomizes the order of their names as they will appear on the paper instead of alphabetically. The explanation I was originally given was there are a lot of Chinese, Korean, Japanese authors whose last names begin with W, X, Y, and Z, therefore they were the last authors listed on a paper. Wait until the some of them see they were moved to the back cover of the Micro. The authors names appear with a circle lower case “r” symbol between each author.
ⓡ
The symbol is in the StixGeneral Regular font. Unicode 24E1. GID1415.
Cathy
